2006 Review and Plan for 2007

So, what did we have here in 2006. It was an eventful year. Lots going on on all fronts and most of it very positive.

Achieved this year

1. My trading turned profitable on a relatively consistent basis. I made money 9 months out of 12. Losing months were much smaller than winning months. My R increased about 7 fold. (Although this sounds like a lot my starting point was a very low R). Increased my trading capital by 50%.

2. I relocated from New Zealand to Singapore. I love living in Singapore and it’s good to be here. New Zealand is a very nice place but just wasn’t right for me.

3. I got a new job which meant an advancement to my career.

4. I terminated an old relationship which has turned sour. I could have probably done it earlier but it’s better late than never.

5. I’ve been dating more in the last quarter of this year than in my entire life I think. One reason is that I’ve usually been in a long term relationship and the other reason is that something clicked and it’s now far easier for me to date.

6. I went back to Israel for a visit after a couple of years of no visits. It was a very nice trip and made me realize I could probably go back to living there under some circumstances.

7. Started going to the gym on a regular basis and have improved my general health feeling as well as weight management.

What wasn’t achieved. Work-in-Progress and objectives for 2007.

1. Trading profitability and capitalization is still not sufficient to support my lifestyle on full time basis.

2. No long term relationship yet.

3. Not yet at my ideal weight.

4. Obtain permanent residency status in Singapore.

My life has a way of never turning out as I expected. Surprises, both positive and negative are a way of life for me. Generally speaking, I don’t like surprises (of either kind). But history has shown me I should be expecting the unexpected in 2007 :-)
