CELG, NUAN, BIIB

I’m back home in Singapore. Not sure if I’m still jet-lagged or just having my normal sleep issues but anyways, I just got up half an hour ago (4:30am) to check out what’s happening. 2 long positions (CELG and NUAN) stopped out for a total of -2.1R and long BIIB closed for +3.6R so the end P&L is +1.5R. Both CELG and NUAN were suboptimal trades as they were essentially continuation plays. But that’s hindsight. Anyways, today’s profit concludes one of the best months I’ve have todate.

Oh yeah, AVNR which was a top dummy candidate on the short side had no borrowable shares on IB. Bummer.

P.S. Due to the daylight savings thing markets now open an hour later at 10:30pm instead of 9:30pm, which is less convenient as it means I’m more tired by the time the markets open and I have to stay up an hour later. Bummer 2.

I’m only looking at those trades that I did take, it’s difficult if not impossible to take into consideration missed opportunities. I only traded 9 days in August and 15 days in Sept. due to work commitments. Or maybe this is this the summer effect? I don’t know. Action plan: prepare for lean months. [...]
