A nasty day, it was all chop and unfortunately I pressed too hard. I didn’t see any candidates that I missed out on but I would have been better just not trying to re-enter failed setups. There was a lot of stop picking and erratic prints which aren’t very common with my typical trades. Anyway, I traded ETFC, SYNA and TPX. The latter 2 twice each. The end P&L is the not so nice -3.4R.
This concludes January for me, I am traveling back to Bangkok on Monday. This month has been the first losing month in well over a year. I spent a third of it not trading because of traveling, a third trading badly and having a hard time concentrating here away from my normal setup and the other third was just a tricky market to operate in. I’m looking forward to starting a fresh in February from back home in Bangkok in a more focused way.

Thanks guys. It sucks to have a losing month but c’est la vie. It was definitely a learning experience too in terms of how far I can (or can’t) push this freedom that comes with trading.
