there is a possibility of problems in periods of peak options market data traffic. If this occurs we may not process some options market data ticks. During these times options stop orders and conditional orders may not be triggered correctly. What a JOKE

“Not everything is getting hammered. Some things are working (even if they’re not the things you and I are in). Some things are ALWAYS working.” Yep.

I looked back to find all days that had readings higher than today’s. It was a short list: 7/23/02, 9/20 & 9/21/01, 8/31/98, and lastly 10/19/87 (Black Monday) through 10/28/87. That’s it. If you take a look at those dates you’ll find

Well I think only in the USA someone can sue for this sort of things :-)
you know, i think that the fact that only in the USA someone can sue for this sort of things speaks much to the credit of the US. What’s surprising to me is that that guy has ever encountered this kind of problems. That your religious convictions should be a problem in the military of the “beacon of liberty” … or is it?
I find it hard to believe that, for instance, in the Israeli army, the army of “the Jewish state,” someone would get death threats because he’s not Jewish enough. Sounds more like the Iranian military, if anything
I know what you mean, it’s certainly far better that people can take things to court then not being able to. As for the actual legal process itself that’s a different issue.
I don’t find that hard to believe at all. There are plenty of stories of soldiers from various backgrounds suffering from fellow soldiers – whether for being ‘less jewish’ or not jewish at all (there’s a Christian Arab soldier in Golani, a sayeret of all units and he’s not exactly having a nice time from his peers to put things mildly). The fact those people risk their lives and serve their country just like, or even more than other “more kosher jews” escapes those people who treat them this way. It doesn’t stop there either, I don’t even want to start talking about the Ethiopians and whatever other “non-standard” sabras have to put up with. Sad stuff.
