הפתיחה האנגלית תופעל באופן הבא:
* אם תוגש פקודה שתעלה את תנודת מדד ת"א-25 הצפויה במסחר הפתיחה אל מעבר ל-2.5%, יוארך אוטומטית שלב טרום הפתיחה, למשך זמן שייקבע באופן אקראי, בכשלוש עד חמש דקות, בסיומן יתבצע ניסיון נוסף לקבוע את מדד הפתיחה.
* אם תנודת המדד הצפויה לאחר ההארכה, תישאר גבוהה מ-2.5%, יוארך שוב שלב טרום הפתיחה אוטומטית בכשלוש עד חמש דקות נוספות, בסיומן יתבצע ניסיון נוסף לקבוע את מדד הפתיחה.
* אם תנודת מדד ת"א-25 הצפויה לאחר ההארכה השנייה תהיה גבוהה מ-5%, יידחה מסחר הפתיחה למשך 45 דקות, ובסיומו יתבצע ניסיון נוסף לקבוע את מדד הפתיחה.
* אם תנודת המדד הצפויה לאחר ההארכה השלישית תהיה נמוכה מ-12%, יקבע מדד פתיחה והמסחר יחל.שמיניות באוויר
