This is hilarious.. Winston Peters’ party NZ First wants to eat the cake and leave it whole too..
New Zealand First is insisting on sitting on the opposition benches in the debating chamber, even though Winston Peters has been appointed Foreign Affairs Minister.
Deputy leader Peter Brown says the fact it has a minister does not mean New Zealand First is part of the Government.
He says the party considers itself to be in opposition, and wants to sit alongside National in Parliament.
This promises to be a very entertaining term.
