Resolutions

As strange as it may sound I’ve never made new year resolutions. Maybe because I’ve (almost) always had some targets and some idea on what I want to do. This year I decided to formalize it more and make an even more serious commitment than ever. So here goes:

Trading
- I’ve made some tweaks to my system and I will stick to them for at least 2 months before I change them again.
- I will strive to show up and practice my system as a number one priority in my trading efforts.
- I’ve reduced my R at risk to such a small level that will reduce emotions as much as possible. I won’t even tell you my new R cos you’ll go ‘muahahaha! you’re such a coward’. I will review my R and may change it again in 3 months time.

Personal
- I will be persistent in going to the gym. I love training and weight lifting but have always let other life issues get in the way - namely late nights at pubs, lazyness and other excuses. I was tempted to commit to doing cardio but I’m not sure I’ll be able to stick with that - I totally hate cardio.
- I have some relationship related stuff to sort out, I won’t ‘bore’ you with the details. A post by Sharky and some of his observations have hit home with me.

I think the above are probably enough for now. There’s a limit to how much a person can take on and I’m trying to keep it simple and attainable. There’s still some work needed on the goals in terms of adding some specifics and more measurable ways to evaluate how I’m doing. I will also review my goals and my progress on a monthly basis as a feedback loop.
