Shorting etc.

As some readers noticed I’ve not been able to short a number of stocks recently as IB did not carry any borrowable quantity. Based on your input it seems CyberTrader usually does have those stocks as well as Terranova. I checked with a couple of other borkers - MasterTrader.com and MBTrading and neither had shares either. Anyways, I was planning on checking out Cyber Pro platform as it’s been a long time since I last used it. It didn’t install on my linux so I’ll do it later on my windows machine instead. (I’m almost sure it can be made to work but I just couldn’t be bothered with lists of missing DLL’s). One application that did work straight off the bat was eSignal so maybe this info will be useful for someone out there.

Having said the above I’m really reluctant to leave my combo which is based on Qcharts because of the builtin HotLists and particularily the Trade Rate scan. I’ll have to check what CyberTrader has in that department and evaluate carefully whether it’s worth moving or not.
