Strong market and winding down

Nice uptrend the whole day yesterday. I think I read somewhere the market did about 15% from the recent low point till yesterday. How often can that happen right? Anyway there were plenty of candidates to choose from yesterday which moved into positive territory almost immediately. This was one of those days where you just had to let them run. This is something that’s easier for me now, being (half) asleep from around 12pm EST. The only downside to yesterday was that I was trading small.
I’m in the process of winding down for the year, last home stretch ahead of my wedding early next month. By end of this week my family would have landed here so basically this is my last working week for 2008. I’ll leave the full summary for later on but it’s certainly been an interesting, challending but also rewarding year. Could have done better but could have also done a lot worse. Lots to think about in terms of lessons learned from this year about what worked, what didn’t and how to implement those takeaways in future years. Hmm I just stopped and read what I wrote above, and damn, even after over a year I still haven’t gotten rid of this silly corporate talk lol. This is probably one of the main themes underlying 2008 for me, a process of transition and adaptation. Can’t say I regret it one bit.
