Weekend activities

This weekend past by swiftly. Two main things occupied me:
1. Linux project Part 3 - Wifi is working, streaming media content is working and I’ve got a couple of games installed (backgammon and poker, although not Texas hold’em).
2. My usual weekend routine of reviewing trades, processing last week’s candidates and triggers and preparing orders for next week. Unforunately IB’s TWS doesn’t run on the weekend (they have a super long updating downtime) so I can’t complete the process till my Monday evening. Still a few hours ahead of market opening but not as convenient as it could be if it were a single activity.
It looks like volume was pretty low last week, not many compelling candidates hit the scanner’s radar last week. I will update a list of stocks I’ll be watching later on today. My general perception of where we are with the general market trend is that the type of action we saw to the downside was more than just a business-as-usual and therefore the “recovery” on Thursday-Friday wasn’t too convincing. As usual with this sort of things it’s just a guess and anything can happen but my porfolio is net short rather than long at this point.
